A healthy mind and spirit cannot be held in an unhealthy body. For that reason your search for balance should include making sure that your body is healthy, strong and fit. Having a healthy body means eating the right foods, doing the right kind of exercise and getting enough sleep. I belief there is no “one right diet” or “one right exercise” - we are all different, and our bodies need different things. Find out what works for you and stick to it.

We try to limit our sugar and carb intake, and we try to eat as much real food as possible. That means limiting processed food, colourants, preservatives and other flavourants that are not of natural origin. But even natural ingredients that are not that good for you are kept to a minimum, such as honey and dates. I do yoga (more for the mental benefits than anything else), a bit of pilates, and then Husband has gotten me into callisthenics, which I still suck at but are working hard to getting better!

I am a notoriously bad sleeper, but also trying to bring some balance into that sphere. Progress make perfect after all!
