We live busy lives, I know, and our kids need to eat. Some more than others, but even those who eat as little as A1 (or especially for those) we need to provide adequate nutrition. Unfortunately, most of the available snack food is laden with sugar, salt, preservatives, colourants and other nasties. So we try to make our own homemade snacks, in bulk. Most of the recipes keep for extended periods of time if stored properly. Here are some of our trusted ideas for quick make-yourself snacks (all recipes will be on the blog in due time):

  1. Biltong balls
  2. Keto waffles
  3. Egg cups
  4. Yogurt ice cubes
  5. Drywors, biltong, nuts, cherry tomatoes, cucumber sticks, cheese sticks, cream cheese dips (homemade cream cheese)
  6. Peanut butter cookies
  7. Lemon mug cake
  8. Vegetable crisps (sweet potato, beetroot and baby marrow works really well)
  9. Cinnamon popcorn
  10. Cream cheese flapjacks
